From June 10 to 14, 2026, Le Mans hosts the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the most followed endurance races in the world. The event is held on the Circuit de la Sarthe, a unique track that combines permanent sections with public roads normally open to traffic.
The week runs from Wednesday, June 10 to Sunday, June 14, 2026. The race starts on Saturday, June 13, 2026, and finishes on Sunday, June 14, 2026, 24 hours later.
Ahead of the race weekend, technical scrutineering, often held in the town center, traditionally kicks off the festivities and gives fans a chance to see the cars up close in a much more accessible atmosphere.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is part of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. In 2026, attention remains focused on the Hypercar category, with a densely packed manufacturer field. Several major brands are entered in Hypercar, including Aston Martin, Alpine, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Genesis, Peugeot and Toyota.
To follow the event under good conditions, the simplest option remains going through official ticketing and booking early, especially if the goal is a grandstand seat, parking or a camping area. On site, the circuit is well served from the town of Le Mans, notably via public transport at peak times, which reduces dependence on a car.
The record for wins at Le Mans still belongs to Tom Kristensen, with nine victories. His record remains the absolute benchmark for the event.
The 24 Heures Motos takes place at Le Mans on the Bugatti circuit from April 16 to 19, 2026. It is one of the major fixtures in motorcycle endurance racing, with a very different race logic but comparable intensity over its duration.
