Epic Games has put in place a new format for this edition consisting of 4 Major qualifiers before the World Cup Grand Finals in Copenhagen. Major 1 begins on February 2, followed by Majors 2 and 3 in April and July, where the top duos will start earning points on a leaderboard for a spot in the Grand Finals Major.

The 2025 World Cup Fortnite welcomes the top 75 duos from around the world for three days of intense competition. The 25 duos with the highest cumulative score on the Day 1 leaderboard will qualify for the Grand Finals on Day 3. The other 25 duos will be relegated to the secondary tournament and will play on Day 2. Epic Games will crown the new world champions by totaling the points earned over 6 matches on Day 3.
