 The UEFA EURO 2004™ final
tournament opens on June 12, 2004 with hosts Portugal playing Greece at the Dragão
stadium, Porto. The 31-match tournament takes place at 10 venues in Portugal from
June 12 to July 4, when the final is played in the new 65 000-capacity Stadium of Light in
Lisbon
Group games
On each day of the 16-team group stage there will be two games, one at 18.00 CET and
another at 20.45 in the same pool. In the final sets of group games, both fixtures will be
played simultaneously at 20.45.
Knockout
phase
The quarter-finals will then be played over the following four evenings before the first
two rest days on 28 and 29 June. The semi-finals are on the evenings of 30 June and 1
July, before Lisbon's Luz stadium stages the final on Sunday 4 July.
